FEDERLINE DESPERATE TO GET IN SHAPE

BRITNEY SPEARS' ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE is hitting the gym hard in a desperate bid to shed the extra weight he's gained since his 2006 split from the pop superstar.

The former backing dancer and wannabe rapper has seen his figure balloon in recent years, piling on around 50 pounds (22.6 kilograms).

But he is reportedly keen to get back in shape and has embarked on a gruelling work out schedule.

A pal tells America's Star magazine, "Kevin never was a gym bunny - he stayed in shape by dancing. He's desperate to slim down, so he's back at it three hours a day."
