ENGLAND missed out on a place in the World Cup final after losing 4-1 to Germany in Delhi.

Reigning champions Germany raced into a two-goal lead in the semi-final and then powered clear after Richard Smith had pulled one back.

England now play Holland tomorrow , hoping to land the bronze medal.

Striker James Tindall said: “We just didn’t find the performance we wanted.

“If you do that against Germany then you’re always going to be struggling.”
