DEAR Jane: All the stuff in the papers about “sex texts” prompted me to ask my boyfriend if he considered it cheating.

To my disgust he said “no” and felt it was “just harmless fun”.

So I went through his phone and found loads of suggestive texts to other girls.

He says he has never done anything with any of them. But can I trust him? Is this is a breaking-up offence?

Jane says: A recent survey found just over half of all men DON’T think sex texting is cheating but 86% of girls do.

Clearly there’s a big difference of opinion between the sexes.

Tell your boyfriend you feel his behaviour is hurtful and wrong. Ask him not to do it again. If he does, then maybe he’s not for you.
