THE BODY BEAUTIFUL
ABOVE: Why not become a car repair technician?
WITH millions of cars on Britain's busy roads, minor bumps and scrapes are almost inevitable.
Finding the time to take a car to a body shop for repairs isn't always convenient.
A more flexible solution to help vehicle owners is creating new job opportunities for mobile repair technicians.
Part of AIM-listed Nationwide Accident Repair Services PLC, Mobile Restore takes the repair service to the customer, carrying out high quality repairs at their home or place of work.
The company is now seeking experienced technicians to join them and help expand their mobile services nationwide.
Managing director, Steve Thompson, said: "Body shop experience is the key, ideally across all aspects of bodywork repairs, as our technicians will be expected to carry out complete repairs to a very high standard on their own. It is useful if they have achieved an NVQ or similar qualification, but we do offer training."
Mobile Restore repair technicians operate from a brand new vehicle fitted out as a mobile body shop, complete with paint mixing and spraying equipment, and a repair capsule that allows work to be completed in all weathers.
Mr Thompson said: "In addition to good technical skills, we expect candidates to be highly motivated, trustworthy, able to work independently and, most importantly, to have excellent customer service skills."
He added: "In return, successful candidates, or 'vanchisees', as we call them, receive a healthy basic salary plus a share of the profits generated by their mobile repair service. They have the added benefit of being part of a well-established company, supported by an experienced management team."
